Giant’s Causeway
Legend has it that giant Fynn McCoy roamed Ireland and made his home here on the northern coast. When his territory was threatened by a Scottish giant across the sea, Fynn built the causeway to connect the two islands. He headed over for a fight but fled at the sight of the much bigger giant. The Scottish giant chased Fynn all the way back to his house where he found Fynn disguised as the baby McCoy. “If the baby giant is 54 feet tall, Fynn must be ginormous,” thought the Scottish giant…so he ran all the way back to Scotland, tearing up the stones of the Causeway as he went….
Scientists say that the 40,000 stones forming the causeway were formed from volcanic activity back in the day when Ireland had a “tropical climate”…right…regardless, this place was magical!!
